Thanks to a $20,000 “Let’s Play Playground Construction” grant from Dr Pepper Snapple Group and the national non-profit KaBOOM!, as well as the generous donations of local families, individuals and businesses, the batting cage area of the Lura A. White Elementary School playground is getting a makeover. Construction work has already begun.
